Wleshpool Juniors Triumph over St. Giles
The first Montgomeryshire junior match was played last weekend between old rivals Welshpool and Newtown. 9 holes were played at Newtown on Monday and the remaining 9 holes played at Welshpool on Wednesday. The 10 strong team of Welshpool came out winnners with a 3 1/2 over 1 1/2 victory!!

Well done to Ellen Jones who, last saturday, set a new ladies course record with a one over par 72 gross!!

Captain's Drive In
2010 Captain, John Wood, will be driving into office on Saturday 9th January. This will be followed on Thursday 14th January with the 2010 Senior Captain, Peter Johnson, also driving in.

2009 Trophy Presentation Evening
The Presentation Evening for the 2009 winners will take place on Sunday 20th December from 4:00pm at the Clubhouse. Refreshments will be provided and all members are encouraged to attend.

AGM Meeting
The Annual AGM meeting will be taking place on Tuesday 15th December. Members are invited to attend and hear the Chairman's report and discuss the runnings of the Club with the management committee.

Dear Members and Visitors,
I would like to welcome you to the new and exciting website for Welshpool Golf Club. As the main users of this site I feel you should be informed what the reasons were for redesign and the key features and benefits that it now offers.
As our day-to-day lives become more integrated with advance technology and the demand for instant and relevant information, it is the successful synchronisation of these two factors that help to maintain the healthy survival and competitive advantage of a business like Welshpool Golf Club.
As a result, in order to successfully communicate with both the members of the Club and visitors alike, it was an innevitable decision that a new website was necessary.
One of the main fundamental reasons for redesigning the site was to improve its image and functionality significantly. Where the previous site was standard, plain and out-dated, the new site is fresh, modern and, most importantly of all, can be constantly updated.
Because of this, you can now access Results from the weekend and view the next Fixture and future Fixtures. Additionally, any new Shop Offers or News will also be accessible as well as a Gallery of the course.
For now though, I would thank you for taking the time to visit this site and would like to urge you all to voice any suggestions or comments to me as, after all, this site is designed with YOU in mind.
