The Club enjoys a significant and solid gentlemen's membership base. As a result, the Strokeplay and Stableford weekend competitions enjoy a healthy turnout. Also, running throughout the year are the immensely popular Handicap and Scratch Matchplays.
Additionally, there are various team events held, including Fourballs, Foursomes and Texas Scrambles. Similarly to the individual championships, there is also a Fourball Betterball Matchplay held throughout the season.
Welshpool Golf Club has been a constant competitor in the Montgomeryshire League, ensuring a strong Gentlemen's team is put out against the likes of Llanymynech, St. Idloes (Llanidloes) and St. Giles (Newtown).
